17 Weeks and more

So I'm 17 weeks now, as of yesterday. I went to the doctor yesterday and had to wait for 2 HOURS! It was ridiculous. Then I saw him for 2 minutes. There wasn't really anything to do this appointment. Josh and I aren't doing any of the tests. I heard the baby's heartbeat, he asked if I had questions, and that was it. The exciting part is that in 3 weeks, on April 8, I have my next appointment. That is when I'll be 20 weeks and get to find out whether our little baby is girl or boy!!! I can't wait! Here is my 17 week picture. I'm finally starting to pop out a little bit. Not too much, but some. A few girls at work, who I see everyday, say they can notice, and my doctor could see it. I still fit in my jeans and everything though. No maternity clothes yet.

Here's that 14 week picture from 3 weeks ago. When you see them next to each other you can tell the difference!

Last of all, I got some more AMAZING deals I just had to share and brag about! Below is my receipt from CVS today. I got 2 Right Guard deodorants, an Herbal Essences conditioner, Herbal Essences hairspray, and a dove candy bar for a total $0.00! Well, that's what my subtotal was, as you can see my finger pointing to it on the receipt. I had to pay $0.69 in tax. You can't get out of the tax! I was pretty excited about this trip, to say the least!

I also did a deal at K-mart day and got 2 jumbo packs of Huggies diapers (priced at $9.99) for about $2.25 each! Not bad huh? :) I'm starting to stock up when the really good diaper deals come around. So far we have 4 packs. Plus I always sign up for the free diaper samples when I see them on the money saving websites I check for all the deals. I have about 11 totally free diapers from that.

We Love Jackson

Our little nephew isn't so little anymore, he is getting so big and growing up so fast. We love hanging out with him and we get to a lot, so we're quite lucky! He is always on the go and isn't a cuddler. But if were watching a movie, he'll sit in our laps and it is so sweet to hold him for a bit. Here we are watching Robin Hood. (he loves it!) We love you Jackson!

A Steal of a Deal!

So I haven't posted any of my great couponing deals in awhile so I will today! I actually hadn't done much coupon shopping my first trimester cause I didn't feel up to going out or doing much of anything! I've been feeling better lately and am back to finding great deals and getting as many items for free, or close to it, as possible!

So I went to CVS, and Rite Aid. In an effort to cut some time out of couponing I've dropped Walgreens. This was because it was my least favorite store because they give you the most trouble for using coupons (typically) and I got better deals at the other places usually. So at CVS this is what I got-

My pre-coupon total was around $16-$17. After all my coupons I only paid... a whole $1.01!!! Plus I got back $6 in ECBs that can be used toward any future CVS purchase. Pretty good, huh? This was my best trip of the day. :)

Next was Rite Aid. Now I have to say that I've been waiting for a good Cover Girl makeup deal to come around for awhile and this was my week! I don't have hardly any makeup that I have to have one certain kind only, but I do for my foundation. I use Cover Girl Aqua smooth and I was just about completely out. So this week at Rite Aid they have Cover Girl for buy one get one free. For those who don't much about coupons, most stores let you use buy one get one coupons with the BOGO (buy one get one) sale, making BOTH items FREE! So luckily, I had a BOGO Cover Girl coupon and got 2 of my much needed makeup products free, yay! Also, they are normally priced at $8-$9, so this was a HUGE money saver. Here's everything I got. I usually spend a little less but I got some Easter candy for Josh (and me) that was a good deal.

The pre-coupon total was $24 and something cents. After coupons I paid... $4.50!

So all in all, I saved $35 today! It's a good feeling. :)

One more thing! An update on our crib. When we bought it, it had a lot of teeth marks from the previous kid teething on it, haha. Here are some before and after shots of what it looked like and now looks like after Josh worked on it.

Close up of the bite marks

Working on it. You can tell which half he did and the half he hasn't yet.

Ta-da!

Baby Stuff

So we don't have much yet, but we have a few baby things. We are always looking for good deals and so far we've found a few! Our first purchase was a rocker/recliner for the nursery. This chair is really big and really comfy! I'm sure I'll many late nights, early mornings, etc, up with the baby so at least I'll have a a nice chair to sit, rock, and maybe even fall asleep in. A few days ago we bought a crib that has a changing table attached. It's not assembled yet... but we have it! And finally, today we bought a swing. We are really excited for our baby! Here are some pictures of the start of our nursery!
