{Beach} Countdown Frame

So this is one of those projects that I start but then don't have everything for it.  So I have great intentions of getting the that one thing {it was the mini clothespins} right away.  But I forget.  And it sits there.  For months!

But I finally finished it, yay!  

It's my countdown frame.  I got the idea here.

She did a brithday countdown, but you can really make it whatever you want.  Just change the little label and voila!

I am currently using it to countdown the days until our California vacation.  We will be spending a week at a beach house for the first part of it.  I seriously can. not. WAIT.  Fun, sun, relaxing, not being so pasty white... it's gonna be great! 

Aren't my little countdown cards cute?!  They are from Pretty Little Studio and totally affordable.  I love the vintage inspired look.

This was a super fast and easy project.  You can probably tell exactly how to do it by looking at the pictures, but if you want more details on that go here.

I'm really happy with how it turned out.  And the possibilities are endless for different countdowns!  I have a couple more sets of cards from the same place for a Valentines countdown and Christmas countdown too.  Although, I'll need a new frame that's more Christmasy for that one.

By the way, we're now on 19 days until our summer vacation!  Which also means the hubs will be down with his board exams {medical school} and I will actually be able to spend time with him.  Instead of now where we just see each other in passing for a few minutes here and there.  It's so lame.  I hate it.  Our 3rd anniversary is coming up in a few days but we're not even doing anything until next month when he's done studying and we're back from California. Double lame.  

Ok, I'm down being a a downer.  I really am excited that he's almost done and we'll be in California soon!
