Here's the birth story...
Reese was due November 19th but decided she was staying put. So Josh and I went to the hospital at 6am on the 21st for my induction. Grayson came on his own 5 days early, so being induced was new for me. And I was pretty scared about it for some reason.
{The last belly shots! 40 weeks and 2 days}
When they did my first check I was only 2cm dilated, which is what I had been at my last doctor's appointment. So no progress. The nurse also said she was still really high up. She had no plans of coming soon apparently! I got started on pitocin and then we waited. Josh and I watched some HGTV and rested.
When I started feeling the contractions it was not fun to say the least. They got painful quickly and when I couldn't take it anymore and was ready for my epidural I was only 4cm!!! I thought for sure I would be farther along than that. I made it to 7cm with Gray. Later I found out pitocin can make your contractions more painful. Yes it did! The doctor came in and broke my water and then I got my epidural. Heaven! I had been thinking about trying natural for my next pregnancy, but after feeling the pain again, I don't think I want to do that. I'm all for using technology and modern medicine! After my water broke things sped up and I progressed quickly. Once I was fully dilated I pushed for 15 minutes and she was out!

Aunt Holly- she's a NICU nurse and wanted to be in the room with us for the birth. It was good having her with us. :)

She is just so sweet. And DARLING!!! Congratulations! I hear ya about the pitocin, I was only to a 4 also with Brighton before I was ready for the epidural. :)
Oh my gosh, what a perfect little newborn! She is downright beautiful, and I can't believe how lovely you looked going into labor (and even after--geez!). I felt like an absolutely gigantic whale by the end, but you honestly don't look ready to deliver to me. And it made me so happy to see her in her little hats! She is so sweet. Is it all right with you if I snag a picture of her in her hats to put on my blog? I'm finally getting around to posting my handmade gift exchange stuff . . . more than 6 months later. Ha! You can say no if you don't want me to use her picture in my post, don't be shy :-) Congrats on your beautiful children!
congratulations!!! she is SO cute!!! :)
