Update- I AM participating in this and will be blogging about it... however I'm still not home from Christmas break.  I get back Wednesday and will do 2 challenges a day until I'm caught up!  I'm so excited to do this, I can hardly wait.  

New Year's Resolution!

I'm not good at these.  

In fact, I've never really made one.  

But I think I can do this.  Especially if it's just a little at at time. 

It sounds doable.

Ok, so I'm pretty bad at thinking of interesting things about myself, so hopefully I can do it.

1.  I used to hate, dread, and loathe blogging.  My sis-in-law made a blog for me and my hubby when we got married.  I felt like I had to do it.   Now I absolutely l.o.v.e. it.

2.  I'm a big time cuddly girl.  I can never get too many cuddles with the hubby.

3.  I've worn the same pink pants for pajamas for the last 5 years.  And I don't just wear them, I wear them ALL THE TIME.
{Also, pink is my FAVORITE color & that really is me in my pink pants and my hubby}

4. I got a sewing machine this year for my birthday.  I was very intimidated by it at first.  {I still am a little.}  But I discovered I love sewing and now have a list a mile long of things I want make with my sewing machine.

5.  I recently realized/admitted/come to grips with the fact that I'm a perfectionist.  I'd never thought of myself that way.  At all.  Someone said something about it to me recently.  I was like "huh?"  Then I started paying attention to how I do things and I realized I can be a perfectionist a lot sometimes.
I'm trying to work on this.


6.  I'm super picky when it comes to food AND candy.  I love sweetarts, but think the pink and green ones are gross {esp. the green ones}.  I hate skittles and starburst (and most other hard, fruity candy) except for the orange ones.  I love the orange ones.  Weird huh?  But I pretty much just love chocolate.  Period.

7.    After having my baby {who is 4 months old} when my pedicure {which I got right before I had my baby} wore away and chipped off I didn't paint them again right away.  It was the first time in YEARS and YEARS I had bare toenails.
Moral of the story- Being a mom is the busiest job I've ever had!

I Did It!

Check out that super cool menu bar under my blog title.  I made it!  It took forever to get it just right. 

{Possibly because I'm a little bit of a perfectionist}

But I did it myself!

Update: Don't be fooled!  I still haven't quite figured it out.  I have a menu bar up there... but when you click on them, it just takes you to the picture of the word on photobucket.  How do I make another page on my blog that I can link to???

So all you amazing blogging people, I need some help!  I'm trying to add more pages to my bog with the tabs at the top.  I added the pages thing, but I can't figure out how to do more than one tab.  I have the home tab.  How can I get more???

I've gone to Design, added Pages, and tried to add more, but it says "already added"

{I'm a little frustrated right now.}

Accessories Galore

So I've been seeing a ton of tutorials for darling accessories lately.  I want to make so many of them, it's frustrating that I can't because I don't have as much time to craft as I'd like.   

{Maybe if I ignored my household chores then I would.  Hmmmm....}

First I made a couple of the Disney princess inspired collection from Vintage Wanna Bee.

I made her Anastasia headband. 

And the Cinderella headband.  I love Cinderella.  She's my favorite.  

And Ariel.  Both of them. :)

I was pretty happy with how they turned out.

Finally I did a pom pom bib necklace from this amazing tutorial on Little Miss Momma.  Ashley is so great.  Love her.  She even comments on my {little} blog sometimes!  I'm like a star-struck kid.

Christmas Decor and a Winner!

So December is already half way over, but here are some pictures of our home all  decorated for Christmas!

 That's not all of it, but most of it.

Oh yeah, remember my fall wreath?  Well, I made a winter one.  My friend Ashley wanted to learn how to make them.  So I decided I would do one too and we could make them together.  My last wreath I made all the flowers the same size.  This time I did all different sizes- small, medium, and large.  I like the way it turned out.  I was inspired from this wreath here.

30 Minute Christmas Craft

So I made this last night and I'm so excited about it! It turned out cute AND it was easy AND it was fast. It doesn't get better than that. I was inspired by this tree. 

It is quite simple to make. This is all you need-

 A foam cone, pins with pretty colored heads, and lots of buttons!  

Then you just take the pins and start sticking them through the holes of the buttons to place the buttons on the tree.  Easy, right?!

The pin heads end up looking like the Christmas lights on your tree.

(The white spaces are NOT so obvious, I promise.  It's the flash of the camera.  I might add a few more buttons.  You could also use a green foam cone and I think that would look better.)

I have another cone and some different colored buttons.  I'll definitely be making another ones of these guys!  We have a church Christmas party coming up this weekend and some of the ladies signed up to decorate tables.  This is a little sneak peek of my table display!
