It's a Love Story {Part 4}

Read Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 if you missed them!

Recap- Josh and I have been talking all summer and we are about to see each other again for the first time in 3 months!

I was excited to see some of my roommates (not all of them could come) and friends from Josh's apartment.  And I was super excited for Brienne and Ryan to be getting married in the gorgeous D.C. temple.  AND I was beyond excited to see Josh again!  We been talking for so long and had talked about how we liked each other, but hadn't seen each other since knowing that.  We both scheduled flights to get to the airport as early as we could so we could have fun hanging out together before Ryan and Brienne picked everyone up.  {They had planned to come when the last person to arrive flight's came in.}  So we were going to have a few hours to walk around and talk and be together.

My flight came in first, so I was waiting outside Josh's gate when his plane was disembarking.  I couldn't hold back a huge grin as I saw him come out into the terminal.  FINALLY!  We hugged and I was smiling uncontrollably.  I think we were at the BWI airport.  Regardless, it was a huge airport with tons of shops and places to walk around and things to look at.  So we walked and talked and had a grand ole time.  We bought some playing cards in one store so we could play cards games.  I don't remember much else, except it was a great day!

The next day we didn't have anything to do.  So Josh, myself, Kirk (his roommate), Charlotte (my roommate), and Kellie (Brienne's roommate) wanted to go to D.C. and walk around and see some sites.  So we spent the day in D.C. and went to the holocaust museum, the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, rode the metro {was that what it was called?}, went to some of the war memorials, saw the Declaration of Independence and other cool old documents, among other things I can't recall right now.

{Trying to figure out how to get on the metro to go to D.C.}

It was a really fun day.  Nothing much exciting happened between us though.  He didn't even hold my hand... lame!  All those months, we were finally together, and he was a scaredy cat I guess.  Come on Josh!  Walking around all day- that was a perfect opportunity.  Oh well.  I think I finally got fed up and stopped walking next to him.  He finally held my hand that evening in the car ride back to the houses we were staying at.

The next day was the wedding.  Here are some pictures on the temple grounds that day.

{Me and Charlotte, love her!}

{Groom and groomsmen, Josh is second on right}

Josh and I held hands again that day walking around the temple.  After the wedding was the reception.  It was fun.

After the reception we went bowling.  I don't remember much about this part, but here are some pics.

{Josh and his roomies- Kirk, Josh, Joey, and Clark- love those guys!}

After that we went back to the house the guys were staying at to hang out before everyone left the next day.  I remember mostly Josh and I together playing Disney Princess Memory and other games.  We sat super close and were kinda cuddling.  It was so nice. :)  Eventually Josh drove us girls back to where we were staying.  Charlotte and Kellie went inside right away but I stayed outside to say bye to Josh.  We talked for a few minutes and held hands and hugged.  Gushed about how we were going to miss each other.  I remember Josh especially saying how he was sad.  I was like it's ok, it's only 3 more weeks!  After 3 months of being apart, I could handle a measly 3 weeks.  It was nothing.  Then he kissed me!!! I was really surprised.  For reals.  I expected the hand holding and all, but I didn't think or expect him to kiss me yet.  I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least!  It was the perfect ending to our mini D.C. extravaganza.

Final Part tomorrow, you don't want to miss it!
